Amanita muscaria is considered an entheogen. Amanita muscaria does not contain psilocybin or psilocin. The active compounds in this mushroom are muscimol and ibotenic acid, with muscimol (a selective agonist for the GABAA receptor) having a sedative, depressant, and deliriant effect.

Amanita Muscaria Tea
Amanita Muscaria tea is made to further process the mushroom to convert its bioactive compounds. The process of heating and simmering the Amanita Muscaria mushrooms in water will further enhance the conversion of ibotenic acid into muscimol through the process of decarboxylation. We've already achieved about 30% conversion rate through heat drying, and by boiling the mushrooms, you can increase the conversion rate up to 60%.
- 1 cup (250ml) distilled water
- Dried amanita muscaria powder
- Small pot or container
- Stove or heat source
- Timer
- Filter (coffee filter works)
- Pour 1 cup (250ml) of distilled water into the pot.
- Add dried amanita muscaria powder
- Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes.
(Monitor the pot and add more water if necessary) - Filter the liquid into a sterile container.
